When you go to "The Market" you better be ready for new experiences :). The Market has become Mattias and Heidi's favorite place to go.....no wonder....it is almost like a zoo. The fish is thrown alive on big platters and cut. Talk about fresh fish. The other day we saw a cow leg, with the hair in tact, hanging from a butcher's shop. Hmmmm.....and some people question why in the world I would spend $15 USD for one slice of beef :) in a store where you can't see the cow's hair?! Well, now you all know why.

Anyhow, the fruit is wonderful. We have a new obsession: Mangoes. We eat them constantly. We are continuously amazed by Hong Kong and all it has to offer..... in every sense of the word. :)

Hope you are all well.
Mmmmmm... Mangos sound so good. We miss you guys a lot. Kajsa keeps asking when she will see Heidi and 'Tias. I am so glad you have a blog. Can you email me your address? We love you!
ReplyDeleteHello Siri, Henrik, Mattias, and Heidi!! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with the Rawles. This is such a smart way to do it! Life sounds so interesting over there. I think you are so amazing for jumping on the opportunity to live in a foreign country and take it all in! We miss you around here! Soccer will not be the same without you this spring! Thank you for keeping in touch. Your family is beautiful and I love the stories of the kids getting a giggle out of a new adventure!- Jill Rawle
ReplyDeleteHello my dear friend... How cool that you are in Hong Kong. What an adventure. I loved reading your blog... thanks for including me in your distribution list. Loved playing catch up. You've been there a short time but it sounds you've experienced a lot of exciting things. The food, the people, the transit system, Disneyland :o), roaches... ugg!, a birthday, school, buddah (so very cool) and more! How long will you be there? How is the ward/branch there? Do you live in an American compound? A High-rise? Are you part of facebook? If not, you should sign up. It's another way to stay connected. All is well here in California... busy and going but life is good. xox julie mclain
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to lie Siri, chicken feet are disgusting. I tried them on my mission and I couldn't handle the sticky texture of them. It's good though to try new things and embrace the culture in which you live. You are on their turf. Have fun- which we know you are by the looks of the pics. We miss you! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHello Siri,
ReplyDeleteIt is good to hear you guys are doing well. It looks like you are having a great time. What a great opportunity for you and the kids. We miss you here and think of you often. Tell Mattias and Heidi hi from Jaden and Skylar. Preschool carpool isn't the same without Heidi's cute little giggle. I check your blog almost daily to see what you are up to. Talk to you soon.
